Industry Standards Issued for Phosphatidylserine and Oat β-Glucan Products

On May 22, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MIIT) issued Announcement No. 7 of 2023, approving a total of 586 industry standards, including Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid for Industrial Use. Among them, 32 standards fall under the chemical industry, including Item No. 271: Phosphatidylserine and Item No. 228: Oat β-Glucan.

Phosphatidylserine
The industry standard for phosphatidylserine, QB/T 5821-2023, specifies the requirements, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of phosphatidylserine products, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This standard applies to phosphatidylserine products produced using soybean lecithin and L-serine as raw materials, obtained through phospholipase-catalyzed conversion reactions, with or without the addition of food additives, followed by purification, drying, and packaging. It is applicable to the production, inspection, and sale of such products. Implementation date: November 1, 2023.
Oat β-Glucan
The industry standard for oat β-glucan, QB/T 5794-2023, specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, labeling, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of oat β-glucan, and describes the corresponding test methods. It also defines relevant terms and definitions, and provides information on the chemical name, molecular formula, molecular weight, and structural formula.
This standard applies to the production, inspection, and sale of oat β-glucan products. Implementation date: November 1, 2023.
